Fall Favorites: Pumpkin Spice Popcorn [RECIPE]

This fall season will be filled with cookies, candies and, of course, pumpkin spice flavored everything.

Despite your best efforts to stick to your diet, you may find yourself reaching for a slice of pie or a pumpkin spice latte. There’s nothing wrong with the occasional indulgence; however, if you’re going to satisfy your sweet tooth with a fall favorite flavor, you can at least opt for the option that is also packed with nutrients.

Follow the Pumpkin Spice Popcorn recipe below for a sweet treat loaded with protein when using Ips Perfect Pop Classic Salted Popcorn.

PUMPKIN SPICE POPCORN
Serves: Approx. 2 people
(Simply double, triple or quadruple the recipe for guests!)

Ingredients:
2 1 oz bags of Ips Perfect Pop Classic Salted Popcorn
¼ cup of butter or margarine
2 tablespoons of sugar
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of nutmeg
1 teaspoon of cloves
½ teaspoon of ginger

Directions:
1. Create your pumpkin spice mix by combining sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger in a small bowl.
2. Open bags of Ips Perfect Pop Classic Salted Popcorn and pour into a large mixing bowl. Set aside.
3. In a medium saucepan, melt butter or margarine over medium-high heat.
4. Allow butter to bubble and brown slightly before turning the heat to medium-low, then add the pumpkin spice mix.
5. Use a spatula to stir the spices into the butter, creating a thick, caramelized sauce.
6. Once sauce has thickened, remove from heat and slowly pour over the popcorn. Toss lightly to ensure the sauce coats each piece.
7. Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to cool and set. Then, enjoy!
